Diffuse light spectroscopy

Our research motivated the development and construction of a miniaturized frequency atomic reference. This device, which was made possible thanks to a miniature spectroscopic cell manufactured in our laboratory, incorporates a novel spectroscopic setup [Sos20]. A Saturated Absorption setup was developed that uses diffuse light from tiny retro-reflectors. This setup has great advantages for use in a miniaturized spectroscopic system. Assembly does not require careful alignment, it is very robust and simple to assemble.
